Emerald BioSystems offers a family of sophisticated liquid handling instruments and Crystal Miner™ database software for the design, production, and handling of crystallization and formulation experiments.
The Matrix Maker™ instrument enables the accurate and speedy preparation of liquid formulation sets from up to 60 different stock solutions. The Protein Maker™ device allows the simultaneous parallel purification of 24 proteins. The MPCS Plug Maker™ and CrystalCards enable growth of diffraction-ready protein crystals.
Synthetic Gene Design Software
The popular Gene Composer™ software offered by Emerald BioSystems is a first in class database tool for the information-rich design of expression-optimized synthetic gene constructs. This SQL database software system is an effective protein engineering tool that allows users to design codon optimized synthetic gene constructs for improved protein expression and crystallization. The software also plans out the oligonucleotide building blocks needed to construct synthetic genes by PCR methods.
Reagent Kits and Plasticware
The Emerald BioSystems consumable product line includes a series of unique and patented reagent kits and plasticware devices for protein crystal growth.
