美國DSI 成立于1984年.
DSI生理無線遙測系統(tǒng)，將生理訊號偵測器埋入植入體中，以外科手術(shù)的方式植入動物體內(nèi)，待動物傷口愈合后，以磁性開關(guān)啟動動物體內(nèi)的無線發(fā)射器，將測得之生理訊號送出，由外界之接收器收集，然后傳輸?shù)接嬎銠C系統(tǒng)中顯示、儲存，與分析。 由于訊號發(fā)射器是在動物體內(nèi)，接收器是在外界，因此這是一個無線的傳輸，也就是說實驗動物是不受圈煉的、完全可以自由移動的；另外，動物也不需要開腸剖肚，沒有傷口感染的問題，也沒有麻醉藥物對實驗藥物或生理反應(yīng)的干擾與影響。而計算機系統(tǒng)部份，也可牽線到另外一個房間，讓實驗動物可以完全控制在所需的明暗、溫濕度，以及隔音環(huán)境中，使得所收集到的生理訊號可以呈現(xiàn)出最真實的生理反應(yīng)。
DSI, founded in 1984, is the global leader in implantable telemetric (wireless) physiologic monitors for use by life science researchers primarily to accelerate assessment of pre-clinical drug discovery and safety and to speed basic research in academic, medical device and government markets. Commonly measured parameters include arterial blood pressure, ECG, EEG, body temperature and activity levels.
In 2006, DSI purchased Ponemah. Ponemah distributes non wireless sensor systems and is the established leader in the advanced acquisition and simultaneous analysis of physiologic data from a broad array of sensor systems.
The combined offering of DSI and Ponemah yields significant value for life science researchers in terms of increased speed of discovery and safety assessment as well as reduced overall costs.
