In 1997 National Scientific Company became a subsidiary of Nalge Nunc International (NNI). NNI has a long a proud history in the scientific industry that began in 1949 when Emanuel Goldberg founded Nalge Company on a single product and a single idea: plastic is better than glass for many laboratory applications.
In 1956, Nalge Company was acquired by SYBRON Corporation, now known as Apogent Inc, and has continued to expand through growth and acquisitions. Today, NNI is the world¹s largest manufacturer of plastic lab-ware, with rapidly expanding lines of packaging and outdoor products. It has a primary manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY and over 1600 employees worldwide.
