美國星科公司（CIMCORE）1973年由美國Homer Eaton等人創立，1986年開始銷售移動式關節臂，1989年法國ROMER公司成立，1996年ROMER公司推出1000系列移動式三坐標測量機（PCMM），2000年法國ROMER開始以CIMCORE為品牌在北美以外的市場銷售移動式CMM及相關產品，CIMCORE Infinite 系列PCMM是目前世界上最精密的關節臂式測量機，2004年美國星科公司被瑞典海克斯康（HEAXGON）集團公司并購。
ROMER is the originator of the portable measuring arm CMM (PCMM), having introduced the first units to the market over 20 years ago, an evolution of an original design that one of ROMER’s founders patented in 1974. Today, ROMER is an integral brand of the Hexagon Metrology group, which offers the broadest selection of dimensional metrology products and services in the world.
