PBL InterferonSource 是1990年建立的一家生物公司，主要生產干擾素 (Interferon)相關的生物產品，其創始人Sidney Pestka博士是干擾素研究領域 的先驅之一，正是他第一個應用基因重組技術生產出成熟有活性的干擾素，極大的推進了干擾素的研究和應用， 1980年Sidney Pestka博士首先生產出重組治療用IFN-α提交FDA審批，并協助 FDA制定重組生物制劑的FDA評估程序和質量標準，23年后該準則仍被FDA沿用。鑒于Sidney Pestka博士在生物技術領域的杰出貢獻，2002年布什總統在白宮特別授予其國家科技獎章。PBL InterferonSource發展到今天已能夠提供各型干擾素蛋白、抗體以及檢測試劑盒，PBL InterferonSource和其姊妹公司 PBL Therapeutics一起成為干擾素研究和應用領領跑者，其產品和服務幾乎涵蓋了所有的干擾素研究和應用領域。
Founded in 1990 by Sidney Pestka, M.D., PBL InterferonSource has become the premier supplier of reliable high-quality interferon products. We have grown each and every year since 1998, when we began direct sales to customers like you.
PBL started as a family business. Although we have grown substantially since that time, we have made it a point to retain the values that we grew up with: a single-minded focus on our scientific mission and business goals; and a particular concern for and commitment to each of our customers. We are also pleased to be able to support the mission of our "sister company" PBL Therapeutics, which is focused on developing interferon-based drugs to treat cancer.
PBL's goal has always been to facilitate the advancement of research. To that end, each year we aim to increase the quality and quantity of our products, to supplement our store of product information, and to provide scientists around the world with the support they require.
