EIT is a privately owned company founded in 1977 by Joe T. May to provide full contract electronic design and manufacturing services to OEM's from product concept through distribution and aftermarket support.

EIT serves a broad customer base throughout the United States and internationally in the medical and analytical instrumentation, industrial process controls, and communications industries. EIT is particularly proud of its many customer partnerships. In an industry where associations last one to two years, EIT has maintained several relationships into their third decade.
EIT employs over 200 people in engineering, production and technical support positions. Everyone at EIT is focused on the customer's service requirements - from design through delivery - with particular emphasis on cost, quality and on-time delivery.
EIT has received numerous "Outstanding Quality" awards from its customers over the years. We have twice received the Virginia Society of Professional Engineers award for new products as a result of our design efforts. EIT has also been named "Virginia Employer of the Year." We are committed to continuing our leadership role in our markets and in our community.
