CERAC, inc. has been manufacturing specialty inorganic materials and physical vapor deposition materials in Milwaukee since 1964 and has experienced steady growth due to diversity of products and customers. In January of 2006, CERAC was acquired by Williams Advanced Materials Inc. and now operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary. CERAC markets globally, serving the precision optic, ophthalmic, semiconductor, laser and display industries with standard and custom manufactured materials.
CERAC offers its customers a level of manufacturing flexibility and in-house technical expertise not available from the competition. Unique integrated manufacturing capabilities enable the company to control every step of the manufacturing process, from raw material production through chemical processing and final inspection, so that customers receive a superior, high-quality end product. The Corporate Technical Support Team at CERAC is an entire department dedicated to working closely with customers to solve problems and help determine material requirements specific to their applications.
Capabilities include reactive gas processing, sintering, milling, blending, solid-liquid-gas reaction systems, hot-pressing, machining, and full chemical analytical facilities. Over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space houses technically advanced processing equipment as well as a state-of-the-art research lab for product development needs.
